The Future of Communication and Technology
This move from centralized to distributed systems is transforming institutions, economies, and how we coordinate to get things done.
Looking out to 2025, we can see the outlines of a transformation in communications that will be equally profound: we will be marketing to machines, receiving messages from our bodies, and reinventing how we communicate, collaborate, persuade, and build relationships in a hyper-connected and distributed world where everything is becoming media.

The German Hochenloher Spezial-Maschinenbau GmbH & Co
HSM is reporting 50 years of success in the field of development, sales and customer services of forestry machines.
The reason for starting the company stems from the commitment of the Hohenlohe-Waldenburg family to the 200-year history of sustainable management of its own forests, which was first mentioned in the history books in 1553.
Their idea moved from experiences with Timberjack to their own designs: "It must be possible to provide top-notch services, long lasting design engineering and the best ergonomics for the purpose of forestry," stated the HSM company founder in 1967.
Their machines were drawn and designed based on experiences from the difficult-to-manage Keuper locations in their own forests. HSM says, they have the ideal forestry machinery for all circumstances, with fields of application from thinning and all the way to harvesting of full size trees.
"Forestry and forestry technology" combined influenced the implementation of the technology. They wanted to design and test machines that the forestry needs; machines that conserve soil and the environment.
It's almost 50 years since the company was founded and the drawing board is a thing of the past, but the original goal has reminded the same: To provide the modern forestry industry with optimal forestry technology that delivers high-performance and economical results.
What HSM machines have in common is production from a single source, direct from the manufacturer and most importantly, without complex modification work from a third party. The individual needs of their clients can be completely implemented without delay, from sales consultancy to delivery.
The HSM product line includes articulated skidders, forwarders, harvesters and combination forestry machines. The company says, they have a long tradition of sustainable care of the soil and production in the forests.
With narrow machines and wide tyres, the technical navigability of logging trails is maintained and forestry is supported in a way that is both economically and ecologically sustainable.

Ligna 2015 is over
We returned back home May 22, 2015 from Hannover via Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Ligna provided us with an impressive set of new and valuable information. The Baltic Sea round-trip did give us necessary added value about the economic climate along the road.
We're writing about the mechanical wood working industry for several months. Special reports are also delivered through printed media at a later time.
KK-Net spent eight days in Germany. Our mobile office and publishing platform was established at a cozy hotel in Celle. Everything worked fine, but the hours of the days limited our chances to tell everything at once.
Ligna 2015 is for us an investigative reporting project and we're spending quite a lot of time to dig into the available information and combining it with new stuff appearing through Internet research, Data mining and Interviews.
Our reports will be available in Finnish, English and Swedish languages. Please, have some patience, everything will not be available at once -- it will take months to get all the points of view and different themes written and distributed.
Stay tuned to this channel. There'll be country reports as well. Time will tell the final result.

Pori 2014 lämmöllä muistellen
Kesäloma on kohta vietetty, tälle viikolle luvataan 30 C lämpöä Kainuuseen, mutta olemme jo vähin äänin siirtymässä arkeen. Vuokatti 2015 –vuosikokouksen järjestelyt siirtyvät ideoinnista ja linjojen vetämisestä arkisempiin asioihin.
Tapasin tänään Sotkamo-lehden toimittajan ja kerään kuva-arkistoistamme väkeviä kuvia Pori 2014 –vuosikokouksesta.

The Man Behind Calvin Klein's Iconic Obsession Ads, Robert R. Taylor, Dies
Fashion is known for its provocative ads, and Kate Moss just happens to be in many of them. One of her most famous? Calvin Klein's sultry Obsession ad campaign, in which she went barefaced and topless while just a teen.
The man behind the iconic Obsession ads was Robert R. Taylor, who passed away at the age of 77 on Tuesday.
Taylor, who battled cancer in the last years of his life, was a marketing expert and beauty entrepreneur with several impressive claims to fame, including marketing the first liquid hand soap with a pump (!).
But as Women's Wear Daily points out, he was also behind the iconic ad campaign for Calvin Klein's Obsession, the sexy fragrance ads featuring a topless Kate Moss.

Tourism and social media
Our firm developed a social media strategy for Alderbrook of several posts each week, each signed by the poster (a member of our team or staff that we trained).
The vast majority of these posts were focused on providing valuable content for those who are, or might be, interested in the resort, the marina, the spa, the restaurant, or the region.
We also, from time to time, posted specials, deals, and packages. We still made room for the big news events but now we had daily interaction with our fans on a myriad of topics.
