Loviisa in search for a strategy

Lovisa_naringslivsbarometer_2009 003

Loviisa is a small town in the southeastern par of Finland. The picturesque city is located at an one hours drive from Helsinki.

We’ve been in the city since 1998.  The most important industry is in the field of energy production.

Loviisa has two nuclear power plants. The rest of the city is sleepy and looking for a future that isn’t very clear by any means.

Nevertheless, it’s a lovely city with less than 20 000 inhabitants from the beginning of 2010 after a fusion of three smaller municipalities to something we at the local level call the “new Loviisa”.
