A Podculture Blog by 78g: "Adam, John, Leo and that Co-Crank person | February 21st, 2008

I listened to the Cranky Geeks episode 104 today with Adam Curry, John C. Dvorak, Leo Laporte and Sebastian Rupley. The panel was excellent; however, I think the discussion was a victim of timing. There just wasn’t much to talk about.

Adam made an interesting point that the Microsoft offer to Yahoo might have been an attempt to stir things up at Yahoo and create discord inside Yahoo offices. It was a fresh point-of-view that I hadn’t heard yet and seemed very plausible. Other than that, most of the other topics had been covered quite well by now. I have to admit that I was impressed with Rupley, the Co-Crank.

He seemed to hold his own with these heavyweights and I really enjoyed listening to him. This one episode wasn’t the best, but Adam, John and Leo still have a lot of information and ideas to offer the podcasting audience. I certainly appreciate them getting together yesterday and I encourage them to continue meeting in the future. 78g."

  • Hello, I am Sean Wiggins author of this podcasting fan site, www.podcultureblog.com. I also go by the handle 78g (sometimes pod78g). The handle has multiple meanings for me, but the most important is that it means approximately 'fan'. In other words, pod78g means podfan. I hope you will find lots of commentary and information about the podcasting culture here. Please see the About Link for a little more information about this website. Thank you for visiting, 78g.
