TechCrunch profiling Photobucket

"Silicon Valley/Colorado based photo and video sharing site Photobucket has 36 million registered users and adds another 85,000 per day. If the growth rate continues, they’ll have 60 million users by the end of the year.

More users visit Photobucket each month - 17 million, than Facebook. I do have an account a FaceBook too, but I newer really got into it. Some of these new social media sites are just too much. Nobody will have the time to use them all. We're certainly going to see a consolidation. But there are new things emerging all the time. The internet never sleeps. The net doesn't go out for lunch or dinner.

More about Photobucket: "56% of those users are under 35, and 52% are female. 300,000 unique websites link back to Photobucket. They move a lot of data," Writes TechCrunch.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketI've an account at Photobucket. I like the service but don't use it on a daily basis.

Need to look for a phot to insert into this story. Wait a moment. I'll go there, log in and see what is available. Hope to find something cool.

Fortune wrote a long article on the company yesterday - the first time mainstream press has noticed this already large startup.
