Helpless Desk

When you call to a help desk for advice with your mobile phone, computer or ISP you might end up with "no-help-at-all" and the feeling of helplessness empowers you. To support business users in the use of technology, numerous organizations have established some form of support organization: a help desk service, a call centre or a hot-line. Some of these service units or help desks anticipates and resolves problems for us, and others let you out there alone and helpless in the digital cold and darkness. Establishing a smoothly running service desk should be an imperative of IT management at every organization.
